Arranging weekly workforce rotations in Australia

A travel agent asked us to help arrange weekly workforce rotations for 12 months on behalf of a construction company in Australia. The client needed to fly up to 60 workers at a time from Brisbane to Rockhampton, before transporting another group back to Brisbane. We set about finding a fly in, fly out solution that could accommodate their needs without breaking the budget.

Our Solution

Route: Brisbane > Rockhampton > Brisbane

Aircraft: Dash 8 Q400

We sourced a Dash 8 Q400 with availability for the client’s scheduling requirements. The aircraft was an ideal size for the number of workers travelling on each rotation and we secured a cost-effective rate for the charter.

Our team worked with the operator to arrange extended ground time in Rockhampton, allowing for a smooth handover between the inbound and outbound workforces.

We continue to manage the charter operations on a weekly basis, providing manifest and itinerary management, airport flight representation and disruption handling if required.

The Finer Details

Attention to Detail: We provide the client with customised monthly reports detailing on-time performance, seat load factor and charter spend.

Flexible Solution: As the project progresses, we’re looking at adding stops on the charter route, allowing the client to recruit workforce from other locations.
