The Falcon 900DX continues the 900C’s winning combination of a large cabin, short-runway performance and impressive long-distance capabilities. While it doesn’t match the range of the preceding 900EX, upgraded avionics and modern onboard amenities make the DX a popular choice for long-haul charters.
Interior design
The 900DX’s roomy cabin is typically split into three sections arranged in a double-club configuration with a three-person divan and full-size private lavatory and galley.
Two seats can be reclined and combined to make a full-length bed, while the rest are fully adjustable and can move along a track, swivel and recline. Some configurations feature up to three divans, with two facing each other in the same section. Natural lighting comes from 24 windows.

Technological features
The Falcon 900DX features three Honeywell TFE731-60 turbofan engines instead of the more usual two found on business jets, which are higher-powered and more efficient than those on the 900, 900B and 900C.
Dassault wanted to offer an aircraft that fit between the 900EX EASy and 2000EX, so the 900DX’s range is similar to the 900C. The 900DX has the same avionics as the 900EX EASy, giving pilots heightened situational awareness.
History
The Falcon 900 was a development of the Falcon 50, itself an upgrade of the earlier Falcon 20. Its design was announced in 1984 and incorporates composite materials throughout. The 900B was produced from 1991-1999 with more powerful and fuel-efficient engines.
Over 150 Falcon 900s and 900Bs were produced before Dassault switched its attention to the longer-range 900EX and the 900C, both of which featured improved avionics. Dassault stopped making the 900EX in 2003, while the 900EX EASy was produced until 2010. The Falcon 900DX was produced from 2005-10, with the same engines as the 900EX and the same avionics as the 900EX EASy.
